Taiwan pours more than US$ 30 billion into Vietnam



With more than 2,500 projects, total capital of over US$ 30 billion, Taiwan has the fourth largest foreign direct investment (FDI) in Vietnam. 

Binh Duong alone, Taiwanese investors have 772 projects with a total capital of nearly US$ 6 billion.
On November 29, Binh Duong People's Committee held a dialogue meeting with Taiwanese businesses investing in the area. Nguyen Thanh Truc, Director of the Department of Planning and Investment of Binh Duong province said that the Province had so far had 29 industrial zones with a total area of 12,798ha, planning to 2020 will have 34 industrial parks.


In the first 11 months of the year, the situation of attracting foreign direct investment continued to show positive signs. Total registered capital reached US$ 2.514 billion , surpassing 79% of the year plan and 127% over the same period in 2016. Investment in industrial zones accounted for 90% of total investment capital of the province.
